Abstract
An acoustic signal is a mixture of a useful signal like human speech, and unwanted signals – which we call Noise. If background noise is mixed with the signal, one can’t properly recognize the speech during communications. Thus we introduce the noise measurement and filtering techniques. The main approach based on Wiener Suppression Rule. After that, there are improved approaches suggested (i.g. Two-Step Noise Reduction (TSNR), Harmonic Regeneration Noise Reduction (HRNR)). The result of applying each filter is significantly improved Signal to Noise ratio.
