Abstract
Series hybrid vehicle system is appropriate for combat vehicle because it secures more space of the vehicle, and makes less sound than the other kinds of vehicle system. Therefore, there are many approaches to apply the series hybrid vehicle system to combat vehicle. In this paper, the capacity of series hybrid vehicle components such as generator and battery will be calculated. First, since these components provides electric energy with electric traction motor, the power of the motor will be calculated considering driving condition. Then the power of the generator and the energy capacity of the battery can be obtained. Finally, control strategy of driving cycle will be applied to the vehicle. Applying control strategy, the energy flow among the components of the hybrid vehicle will change. Then, the optimization of the characteristics of generator and battery will be done.
