- Abstract
- A pseudo noise ranging system standardized by the Consultative Committee for Space Data Systems (CCSDS) is the most essential technology in satellite operations and space exploration missions. In this paper, we propose shortened pseudo noise (PN) sequences and the combining logic suitable for ranging of space probes, such as low-earth orbit (LEO) or near earth satellites. The suitability of the proposed sequence and logic for near earth conditions is verified by a comparative performance analysis with the CCSDS standard and NASA JPL's sequences.
