토픽이론과 음악분석의 관계

Abstract

본 논문은 18세기 음악에서 관용적으로 사용된 토픽이론의 발전과 음악분석의 관계를 탐구하고자 한다. 토픽에 대한 주요 학자와 관점을 연구하고 악곡에 대한 학자들의 분석을 비교해 봄으로써 음악분석에 토픽을 적용하였을 때 관점에 따라 다양한 해석이 가능함을 알아본다. 나아가 토픽이론에 대한 아가우의 관점을 토대로 음악분석에 토픽을 적용한 경우와 그렇지 않은 경우를 논의함으로써 토픽과 음악 형식 사이의 긴밀한 관계를 살피고 어떤 영향을 주고받는지 확인한다. 이러한 접근의 결과를 통해 음악해석에 또 다른 관점을 제공할 수 있는 토픽이론이라는 분야를 소개하고 분석함으로써 그 중요성을 불러일으킬 기회를 제공할 수 있으리라 본다.|This paper investigates the development of topic theory commonly used in 18th-century music and its relationship with music analysis. It studies key scholars and their perspectives on topic, comparing their analysis on musical works. Based on this, it explores the diverse interpretations possible when applying topic theory to music analysis, depending on the perspective. Furthermore, drawing from Agawu’s perspective on topic theory, the paper discusses the application of topics in music analysis and the implications of not applying them, aiming to scrutinize the close relationship between topic and musical form and understand the reciprocal influences between them. Through the results of this approach, the paper introduces the field of topic theory as a perspective that can offer new insights into music interpretation and analysis, providing an opportunity to underline its significance.
