Abstract
Electronicnosesmimicthehumannose'sabilitytodetectandprocesschemicalmolecules.Neuromorphiccomputingoffersasolutiontothebottleneckissuesindatatransfer,enablingparallelprocessingandenergyefficiency.However,implementingneuromorphicsystemsrequiresdeviceswithmemorycharacteristicsandenergyefficiency.Currentresearchonolfactoryartificialsynapsesfaceslimitationsintermsofadditionalcomponents,lowsensitivity,andpowerconsumption. Herein,wepresentChemo-neuralsynapsebasedonamine-functionalizedsemiconductingpolymergel(NH2-SPG)gatedbyelectrolyteforlowpoweroperation.AminegroupswasfunctionalizedinentiresemiconductorfilmbyutilizingunreactedsilanolgroupsoftheSPG.ElectrondonatingpropertyofaminegroupshasstronginteractionwithelectronwithdrawingpropertyofNO2gaswhichresultsinhighsensitivityandlong-termmemoryeffect.Consequently,ournoveldesignofartificialsensorysynapsebasedonamine-functionalizedsemiconductingpolymergelwillprovideaguidelinefornext-generationadvancedsensorapplications.|전자코는화학분자를인식하고처리하는인간의코를모방하는소자로서정보처리기술이빠르게발전하면서많은관심을받고있습니다.그러나데이터양이방대해짐에따른병목현상과높은에너지소비등의문제를해결하기위해,신경신호를모사한뉴로모픽컴퓨팅을활용한전자코연구가주목받고있습니다.그러나뉴로모픽시스템을구현하려면메모리특성과에너지효율성을갖춘인공후각시냅스소자가필요하며,현재이에대한연구는추가적인소자단의필요성,낮은민감성,높은전력소비등의한계를가지고있습니다.본연구에서는,저전력으로구동이가능한이온겔기반의전해질을기판이자유전층으로활용되는아민기능화반도체고분자겔(NH2-SPG)기반의화학-신경시냅스(Chemo-neuralsynapse)를제시합니다.아민그룹은고분자반도체겔(SPG)에존재하는미반응실란올(Silanol)그룹과반응하여전체반도체필름에성공적으로기능화시킬수있었습니다.아민그룹의전자를공여하는(Electro-donating)성질은타겟물질인NO2가스의전자를당기는(Electro-withdrawing)성질과강한상호작용을가지며,이는높은민감도와장기메모리효과를나타냅니다.결과적으로,아민기능화된반도체고분자겔기반의새로운인공후각시냅스는차세대센서및다양한응용분야에대한가이드라인을제공할것으로예상하고있습니다.
