Abstract
Changes in the media environment and development in computer graphic techniques have changed the trend in information expressions.By using multimedia, visual media effects have changed from static effects to dynamic effects including verbal elements.Because tje importance of interface design has increased, analysis and application on methods of expressions based on the cognition process of the users have become an issue. Intruduction to a new information society and recent changes brought by the use of multimedia in the media environment has expanded its' territory even to the learning system, web page design and diagram design. Mulrimedia is a media users prefer and have the tendency to believe the information process through media is more effective.For these reasons, it can be predicted in the future using multimedia in information design is going to increase.In this research the field of mulrimedia diagram design especially the role of media design and the effectiveness of communication through the methods media ezpressions have been analyzed.Multimedia diagram design does not only provide accurate information, but it also provides an aesthetic point of view.Therefore more studies and research on diagram desing should be done in the near future.The process of information transmission and multimedia cannot be separated.We are now living in a period of mulrimedia therefore diagram design should develop through diverse media.
