The plasma screening and electric field effects on the low-energy electron-ion Coulomb bremsstrahlung process are investigated for both soft and hard photon radiation in an anisotropic plasma in the presence of an external electric field. The impact-parameter trajectory analysis is applied to the motion of the projectile electron in order to investigate the variation of the bremsstrahlung cross section as a function of the drift velocity, impact parameter, Debye length, and radiation photon energy. The results show that the bremsstrahlung radiation cross section decreases with increasing bremsstrahlung photon energy. The screening effect is more significant for the soft photon case. It is also found that the electric field effect enhances the bremsstrahlung cross section for soft photon radiation and large impact parameters and increases with increasing photon energy.
