dc.description.abstractElectron–ion Coulomb bremsstrahlung radiation from a generalized Lorentzian (kappa) distribution plasma is investigated. The electron–ion bremsstrahlung cross section is given by the nonrelativistic Bethe–Heitler formula and the Elwert–Sommerfeld Coulomb correction factor. The bremsstrahlung radiation rate is obtained for various temperatures and radiation photon energies. The results show that, for low photon energies, the Coulomb correction effects are more significant for low spectral index κ. However, for high photon energies, the Coulomb correction effects are found to be more significant for high spectral index κ.en_US
