Abstract
his paper presents the force modulation techniques and sliding mode load force estimator to control sawyer motors. Since the resolution of the flatbed motor is about 0.64mm, the precise control should be required. Also, in the case of a sawyer motor, load force estimation and compensation techniques are necessary because of the cable harness that influences the external load force. The proposed algorithm applied to sawyer motor was validated with simulation results.
