하인리히 쉬츠의 《십자가 위의 일곱 말씀》(SWV 478) 분석

Abstract

본 논문의 목적은 하인리히 쉬츠의 《십자가 위의 일곱 말씀》(SWV 478)을 17세기의 수사학을 통해 살펴보는 것이다. 그러나 본 논문에서는 수사학의 원칙을 음악에 그대로 적용하거나 미사여구법의 음형목록들을 통해 음악을 분석하는 대신 오히려 17세기에 피렌체의 카메라타들의 의해 대두된 ‘말’하기를 닮은 음악수사학이 쉬츠의 작품에서 어떻게 표현되어 있는지 살펴볼 것이다. 그러기 위하여 《십자가 위의 일곱 말씀》의 텍스트와 음악을 통사론과 의미론으로 나누어 분석하고, 결론적으로 쉬츠가 이 작품에서 사용하고 있는 통사론과 의미론을 따르는 수사학이 어떤 것인지 조명하려 한다. |The purpose of this paper is to examine Heinrich Schütz's Seven Last Words of Jesus Christ on the Cross (SWV 478) through the musical rhetoric of the 17th century. In this paper, we do not apply the Disposition of rhetoric to music as it is or analyze music through the figure lists of rhetoric. Rather, we will look at how the rhetoric resembling the "speech" emerged by the Camerata of Florence in the 17th century is expressed in Schütz's work. To do so, the text and music of Seven Last Words of Jesus Christ on the Cross are analyzed by dividing them into syntactics and semantics theories, and in conclusion, I want to shed light on what rhetoric Schütz uses to follow syntactics and semantics.
