Fluorine modified diisocyanate (FMD) was synthesized from Tris(6-isocyanatohexyl) isocyanurate (TIHI) and N-ethyl-N-2-hydroxyethyl-oerfluorooctanesulfonamide (HFA). Fluorine modified polyurethane dispersion (FPUD) was also synthesized from FMD and poly (tetramethylene) glycol (PTMG) or 1,4-butandiol (BD) and hexamethylene diisocyanate (HDI). Fluorine polyurethane dispersion mixtures (FPM) were made by blending FPUD into the polyester type base polyurethane (BPU) and surface energy was calculated from contact angles. The particle sizes of FPUD increased as fluorine content increase and when fluorine content was 20wt%, the surface energies were higher than 15wt%. Also the surface energies tended to decrease as the fluorine content increase.
