Abstract
In this article, a miniaturized wide-band and dual-band loop-type ground radiation antenna for mobile devices is proposed. The antenna feed structure, which consists of two shunt capacitors and a shunt inductor, enhances the bandwidth in both bands by generating an additional parallel feeding resonance in each band. Compared to the reference dual-band loop-type ground radiation antenna with a single loop feed that only uses a capacitor in series, the bandwidth of the proposed antenna is 1.6 and 2.13 times wider in the low and high bands, respectively under a 3:1 voltage standing wave ratio. The measured results indicate that the proposed antenna provides good radiation performance.
