A new multiple model estimation for systems with switching models

Abstract

A new estimation algorithm with multiple model is suggested. though thr derivation of the proposed algorithm is different from the existing IMM, both algorithms are exactly same if the dynamic system is linear. However, for nonlinear systems, it appears that the proposed algorithm is different from the IMM algorithm. The proposed algorithm is tested by a series of simulation runs for performance verification.
