해방기(1945~1950) 북한 영화담론의 전개 과정 연구

Abstract

본 논문은 해방기 북한의 신문, 잡지 등에 게재된 다양한 문헌을 분석함으로써해방기 북한 영화담론의 전개 과정을 연구하는 것을 목표로 한다. 이를 위해 본 논문에서는 해방기 영화담론의 전개 과정을 세 시기로 구분하여고찰하였다. 첫째, 해방 직후부터 북조선인민위원회가 설립되는 1947년 2월까지의 영화담론은 소련영화에 나타난 개혁의 성과를 선전하고, 이를 모범으로 삼아 북한 민주개혁의 성과를 대내외적으로 선전하는 전위대 역할을 수행하였다. 둘째, 북조선인민위원회 설립 이후 단독정부인 조선민주주의인민공화국이 수립되는1948년 9월까지 남북의 분단 상황이 고착되고 체제 경쟁이 심화됨에 따라 영화담론에 있어서도 ‘고상한 사실주의’로 대변되는 북한과 소련식 사회주의 체제와, ‘고상함’ 그 영역의 밖에 존재하는 반동적 체제로서 남한과 미국의 자본주의 체제라는 이분법적 도식이 성립되는 단계임을 확인하였다. 셋째, 정부수립부터 한국전쟁이 개전되는 1950년 6월에 이르기까지 그동안 소련을 경유하며 체득한 ‘고상한 사실주의’ 담론을 극영화 제작을 통해 구현하며 조선적인 것으로 변용하는과정을 밝혀보았다. 이러한 분석은 개삭과 왜곡을 반복했던 후대의 자료가 아닌 당대의 문헌을실증함으로써, 해방기 영화담론의 전개 과정을 생동감 있게 복원해낸다는 점에서그 의의를 찾을 수 있을 것이다.

This paper intends to study the development process of North Korean film discourse by analyzing newspapers and magazines published in North Korea during the liberation period. To this end, this paper divides the process of film discourse in the liberation period into three periods. First, the film discourse from the immediate period of liberation until February 1947, when the North Korean People’s Committee was established, played a role of vanguard for promoting and demonstrating the achievements of democratic reform in North Korea. Second, the concept of “noble realism” became important in film discourse until September 1948, when the North Korean People’s Committee was established in North Korea and the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea was established. Third, from the establishment of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea to the Korean War, the process of changing “noble realism” learned from the Soviet Union into the Joseon style was confirmed. It is very important to confirm the formation process of film discourse during the liberation period by examining the literature of the liberation period through this analysis.
