Abstract
It has been known through many studies and papers that using smart construction technology can increase productivity, shorten construction periods, and reduce costs. Following the example of automated equipment and BIM application in advanced countries, the Korean government is pouring out related goals and policies. However, it is confirmed that the application of ICT technology to actual sites is still small at the construction site in Korea. The reason for this is because of the nature of conservative construction work, and it is understood that the data from the study did not reflect the actual site environment and that the research results in the testbed were numerous. The research results in such a test environment are not a clear basis for the designer who proposes the technology and the contractor who uses the technology. They want experienced and proven skills. In this study, machine guidance technology and UAV survey technology that meet the upper plan among ICT technologies are applied to the actual site for a long time, and cases are analyzed to obtain quantitative data on productivity, quality, and cost. Qualitative data is acquired by conducting semi-structured interviews with site managers and workers who have experienced ICT technology in the field. Valuation is performed using the quantitative and qualitative data thus obtained. Valuation analysis data shows the performance of an application in a real environment, not an experimental environment. The results of this study provide verified results as data in the real environment of ICT technology. This will help determine the early on-site application of ICT technology to the construction site and consequently will accelerate the on-site application of ICT construction technology and help achieve the government's targeted construction automation goals.
