패키지지기구조디자인을 통한 중등입체표현지도에 관한 연구

Abstract

패키지디자인은 판매를 위한 촉매제로써 독특한 형태와 표면디자인으로 제품의 정보를 제공할 뿐만 아니라 시각적 효과를 불러일으키는 진열대의 입체광고물이라고 할 수 있다. 그러나 일반적으로 패키지디자인을 포장지 또는 상품의 묶음 정도로만 생각하는 것이 대부분으로 패키지 디자인의 개념이 애매모호할뿐더러 미술 교과 내에서도 비중 있게 다루지 않고 있다. 그러므로 패키지디자인의 개념을 바로잡고 미술교과에서의 교육적 중요성과 의의에 대한 연구가 효과적인 교육내용 개발을 위해서 필요하다. 현재 미술교육에는 디자인 교육에 대한 요구로 그 움직임이 활발하나 평면표현 위주인 시각디자인의 비중이 많이 차지하고 있기 때문에 편향적인 수업이 이루어지고 있는 현실이다. 또한 제품디자인이나 환경디자인 등을 통해서 입체디자인교육을 교과서에서 다루고 있지만 소재나 만드는 과정의 어려움이 많기 때문에 실제 수업에 적용하는 일은 극히 드물다. 입체표현은 평면표현과 다르게 부피감이 있어 실공간과 허공간이 공존하여 바라보는 시점에 따라 형태와 공간이 변하기 때문에 3차원적인 공감각이 요구되어지며, 복잡한 구조에서 시각적 질서와 조화를 찾아나가야 한다. 이 때문에 체계적인 교육을 통해 입체표현에 필요한 능력들을 길러야 할 필요성이 있고, 과거입체교육방식에서 보다 발전되고 현대 미술교육의 목적에 맞는 입체교육시스템이 요구되어진다. 따라서 구조디자인과 표면디자인이 동시에 이루어지는 패키지디자인은 종합적인 조형행위의 산물로 입체디자인교육에 적합한 영역이라고 볼 수 있다. 또한 패키지 주재료로 쓰이는 종이는 학생들이 접하기 쉽고 다루기에 무리가 없을 뿐만 아니라 친환경적인 재료로써 입체조형 활동을 하기에 적당하므로 패키지 지기구조디자인을 통해 입체교육을 진행하는 것이 바람직하다고 볼 수 있다. 그러므로 본 연구에서는 패키지디자인과 입체교육의 연관성을 살펴보고 패키지 지기구조디자인의 교육적 접근을 통해 입체교육으로서의 패키지디자인에 관한 수업지도연구를 하였다. 패키지 지기구조디자인을 통한 입체표현학습 교육프로그램에서는 중학교 1학년부터 종이를 이용한 입체발상을 통해 기초조형능력을 기른 뒤, 2학년에는 패키지디자인에 대한 개념형성 및 지기구조디자인에 대한 이해를 도울 수 있도록 주변에서 볼 수 있는 패키지디자인을 분석해보고 자신만의 지기구조를 미니어쳐로 제작해보는 과정을 거친다. 그리고 3학년에서는 지기구조에 대해 좀 더 자세히 배우고 새로운 구조를 개발하여 그 위에 표면디자인으로 완성하는 과정을 통해 창의력을 향상시키고, 구조적인 사고를 기르는데 목적으로 학년별 연계성과 일관성을 지닌 시스템을 바탕으로 한 입체디자인교육 지도안을 제시하고자 한다.; Package design as a catalyst use to promote sales, presents much information about the product with unique shape and surface design. Thus it is a form of stereo-advertisement on shelf that provides visual impact to consumers. However, people generally tend to think of the package design as a material that wraps a product or something that holds them together. Therefore, the concept of package design is very difficult to define and such concept is not weighted heavily on the art course as well. Therefore, researches that may straighten up the concept of the package design while suggesting the educational benefits of the concept being taught during the art course will be essential in developing an effective educational content. Currently in the modern art education, demands of people triggered active movements in the design related education. However, design education is more weighted on the visual design, which is concentrated on the plane presentation, thus the art class tends to teach one perspective of the visual design only. Moreover, the stereo-design is dealt in textbooks through product design or environmental design but it is rarely taught during actual class due to difficulty in material collection and making. Unlike the plane presentation, the stereo presentation allows people to feel the volume thus both the real space and empty space coexists in the stereo presentation. In addition, shape and space changes depending on the viewing angle so three dimensional synesthesia is required to determine the visual order and harmony within the complex structure. Due to all these issues, it is important to raise essential ability to artistically express stereo design by having systematic educational curriculums. Moreover, the stereo education system, which has is an advanced form of education system from the existing stereo education system, that matches the objective of the modern art education is required. Therefore, the package design where the structure design and surface design are achieved simultaneously, is adequate to be classified in to the stereo design education as a derivative of a overall artistic work. Moreover, paper which is a main material used in the package design is easy for students to work with without any difficulties and it is environmental friendly. Therefore, it is an adequate material to be utilized in doing the stereo work thus it is recommendable to do the stereo work through paper package design. The objective of the study was to explore relationships between the package design and stereo education and develop guidelines for teaching package design during the art class, as a form of stereo education, by approaching the educational perspective of the paper package design education. For the stereo presentation activity program through the paper package design, 1st graders of middleschool shall be taught to develop basic modeling ability through stereo concept development by using paper. The 2nd graders shall be taught to develop concept of the package design and promote understanding of the paper structure design by analyzing package designs within their surroundings and by making their own miniature paper structure. During the 3rd grade, students can learn details on the paper structure and develop a new structure so that students can improve their creativity through a process of forming complete idea of the surface design while developing a structured minds. Therefore, the study wants to suggest guideline on the stereo design education that has correlation and consistent system among all middle school.
