베토벤 피아노 소나타에 나타난 낭만주의적 특징

Abstract

본 논문에서는 음악사적으로 고전주의와 낭만주의를 연결하는 베토벤의 선구적 역할에 대해 알아보고자 중기말의 대표곡인 작품57 <열정>을 중심으로 연구해보았다. 이 과정에서 베토벤의 시기별 특징과 분류가 있었으며, 화성적인 면에서의 베토벤의 낭만주의 성향에 대해 알아보았다. 그리고 작품 57의 화성분석을 통해, 베토벤이 의도하는 고전주의적 틀 안에서의 낭만주의적 음악 기법이 무엇인지 살펴보았다. 화성분석을 통해 살펴 본 베토벤 피아노 소나타 작품57의 1악장에 나타난 낭만적 요소는 크게 두 가지로 요약 할 수 있는데, 첫째로 반음계적 조성 관계가 여러 가지 방법으로 곡 전체에 적용 되었으며, 둘째로는 이러한 반음관계가 경과부에서 표면적 주제 관계로 쓰여 졌다는 것이다. 베토벤의 이러한 독창적 특징들은 베토벤 이후의 낭만주의의 많은 작곡가에게 영향을 미치게 된다. 본 연구를 통해 우리는 이렇게 낭만주의의 선구적 역할을 한 베토벤의 음악이 독창적이고 특징적임을 알아야겠지만 형식에 있어서는 고전주의적 틀에서 벗어나지 않았음에 주목하고 가치를 두어야 할 것이다.; In this thesis, Beethoven’s representative work “Appassionato sonata” composed in his latter part of the middle period was analyzed with the aim of looking into Beethoven’s pioneering role linking Classicism and Romanticism in terms of music history. First, Beethoven's whole piano sonatas were classifed by its characteristics in terms of harmonious aspects. the romanticism-based musical language of Beethoven was examined through the harmonic analysis of Op. 57. The romantic element manifested in the first movement of Beethoven’s Piano Sonata Op.57 examined through the analysis of harmony shows two characteristic features of Romanticism : first, chromatic scale-based tonal relations were applied to the whole movement as a technique of motivic parallism; secondly, such a chromatic relations were written within the frame of sonata form.
