슈만의 Fantasy Pieces Op.73에 관한 분석 연구

Abstract

19세기 낭만주의 시대에는 음악가들이 고전주의의 형식에서 벗어나 개인의 내면의 감정을 자유롭게 표현하였고 예술 간의 상호 융합 현상이 나타나기 시작하였다. 독일 낭만주의의 대표적 작곡가인 슈만(Robert Alexander Schumann, 1810-1856)은 일찍이 낭만문학의 영향을 받아 문학과 음악에 많은 관심을 보였으며, 음악 안에 문학적인 요소를 접목시켜 문학적 내용들을 음악으로 표현 하려고 하였다. 그는 자신의 작품에서 문학적 요소를 음악으로 표현하기 위한 여러 많은 시도를 하였는데, 이는 형식, 리듬, 선율 등에서 나타나고 있으며, 자유롭고 다양한 리듬형태를 사용한 선율에 반음계적 화성을 사용하여 낭만적 색채감을 주고 있다. 슈만이 첼로를 위해 쓴 작품으로 <Fantasy Pieces Op.73>(1849)은 모두 세 악장으로 이루어져 있지만 전체가 마치 한 곡 처럼 느껴지는 통일성과 연결성이 특징이다. 또한 이 작품은 기교적이기 보다는 서정적 정서가 부각 되는 선율진행이 돋보이는 슈만의 독창적인 낭만주의 작품이라 할 수 있다. 본 논문은 19세기 시대적 배경, 낭만주의 음악의 특성을 살펴보고, 각 악장들의 형식구조, 선율구조, 화성, 리듬 등 음악적 특징을 중심으로 분석하여 슈만 음악의 특성을 연구하여 보다 좋은 연주에 도움을 주고자 한다.; Musicians in 19th century romanticism period freely expressed personal inner emotions and breaking away from the classical conventions and the phenomenon of blending among different arts began to appear. Robert Alexander Schumann (1850-1856), a representative composer of German romanticism, influenced by romantic literature from his early years, showed great interest in literature and music and attempted to express the literary content with music by combining literature and music. He made many different attempts in his music to express the literary contents with music, which appeared in form, rhythm and melody. His music added romantic color using harmony of a chromatic scale along with the melodies using free and various styles of rhythms. Among the music for cello composed by Schumann, &#8988; Fantasy Pieces, Op.73&#745; (1849) consists of 3 movements. the music is characterized by its uniformity and connectivity felt as if the whole music is composed of one movement. In addition, this music is a uniquely creative romanticism work of Schumann in which melodic motion with notable lyrical emotion rather than techniques can be highlighted. This thesis is aimed at examining the background of the 19th century and the characteristics of romantic music, by analyzing the musical features focusing on formal structure, melodic structure, harmony and rhythm. To study the characteristics of Schumann's music will bring out a better performance of his music.
