Abstract
Zinc oxide (ZnO) has been much attracted interest because of its wide range of properties, such as an n-type direct band-gab semiconductor (3.37 eV) with interesting luminescent, piezoelectric and photoconducting properties. ZnO morphology has been controlled in various forms such as nanorods, nanorwires, nanotubes, nanorings, nanobelts and nanocrystals. And ZnO nanostructures are being investigated because their electronic and optical properties which are affected by the variety of morphologies, crystal size and so on. ZnO potential capabilities have been demonstrated for a wide field of applications such as photonic crystals, light emitting diodes, photodetectors and solar cells. In this study, ZnO was synthesized though hydrothermal method. The morphologies and properties were controlled via various parameters which are additives, concentration and temperature.
