- 본 논문은 요하네스 브람스(Johannes Brahms: 1833~ 1897)가 작곡한 "네 개의 엄숙한 노래(Vier ernste Gesä nge Op.121)"에 관한 것으로 19세기에 독보적인 장르로 자리잡은 시와 노래, 피아노의 결합의 결정체인 예술가곡의 형태이다. 또한 1896년에 작곡된 그의 생애 최후의 가곡이자, 최고의 가곡이라고 평가 되고 있다.
