- Abstract
- The mechanical properties of Hydrogen based cement mortar specimens were characterized by testing under compression and flexure loadings. In addition, the SEM (Scanning Electron Microscope) and FTIR (Fourier Transform infrared spectroscopy) analysis were also performed to analysis the effect of the Hydrogen-rich water at the molecular level of the hydrated cement. The Hydrogen-rich water can able to enhance the mechanical performances of the cement mortar and reduce the apparent porosity due to the production of greater extent of hydration product by accelerating the hydration reaction in the presence of the hydrogen water .
