융복합 교육을 위한 내러티브 교육과정에 관한 연구 : 문화 다양성 미술 수업을 중심으로

Abstract

본 연구는 미술 교사가 의미 있는 융복합 교육과정을 재구성할 수 있는 방안을 모색하는 것에 목적을 두었다. 융복합 교육의 지향점이 교사와 학생들 간의 적극적인 상호작용과 학생들의 주도적인 참여에 기초한 창의적 지식 창출이라면, 교사가 수업상황과 학습자 특성을 고려하여 교육과정을 구성하는 것이 필수적이라고 보았기 때문이다. 이를 위해 교육과정 구성의 이론적 틀로서 내러티브 탐구에 주목하여, 융복합 교육과 접목함으로써 미술 교사가 자신의 이야기를 바탕으로 교육과정을 탐구하고 개발할 수 있는 개념과 방안을 탐색하고자 하였다. 먼저 융복합 교육의 맥락에서 내러티브적 사고와 교육과정 재구성의 의미를 고찰하고, 이를 위한 내러티브 탐구 방법의 개념과 요소를 논의하였다. 이를 토대로 고등학교 미술 교사의 문화 다양성 수업을 융복합 교육의 관점에서 재구성하여 하나의 사례로 제시하였다. 본 연구는 융복합 교육과 내러티브 탐구의 개념적 토대 위에서 실제적인 교육과정 재구성의 과정들을 조명함으로써, 구체적인 실천방안을 제안하고자 하였다는 점에서 의미가 있다. This study starts on the premise that convergence education aims at creative knowledge formation through active interaction between the teacher and students. Additionally, the emphasis is given on the importance of the teacher as curriculum designer and meaning maker. In this regard, this paper discusses the possibility of exploring and developing curriculum through an art teacher’s stories by focusing on narrative inquiry as a theoretical framework of curriculum development. First, the concepts of narrative thinking and curriculum design are discussed in the context of convergence education. Based on the literature review on the narrative inquiry methods, the cultural diversity unit of a high school art teacher is represented as a case study of narrative curriculum design. The significance of this study can be found in its attempt to propose a concrete process of narrative curriculum development based on the conceptual foundation of convergence education and narrative inquiry.
