유아기 문화다양성 교육을 위한누리과정 연계 문화예술교육 프로그램 개발 연구

Abstract

본 연구는 빠르게 변화하는 다문화 사회로의 전환 속에서 유아 대상의 문화다양성 교육이 필요하다는 문제의식에서 출발하였다. 다문화교육을 위한 실제적인 교육적 방안을 마련하는 데에 있어 유아기의 교육이 삶 전체의 성장과 행복에 영향을 미친다는 점과 다양성이 사회의 발전에 핵심적인 요소가 됨에 착안하여 유아들이 자연스럽게 문화다양성을 익히고 실천할 수 있는 교육 방안을 모색하고자 하였다. 이에 본 연구는 다문화교육이 생애 주기의 관점에서 출발하여야 한다는 전제 하에, 유아기의 통합적인 문화예술 활동 경험이 문화다양성의 지식,태도, 가치를 감각적, 신체적으로 탐색하고 체득할 수 있도록 하는 교육의 내용을 개발하는데 목적을 두었다. 이를 위해 먼저 문화다양성의 개념을 고찰하고 유아기의 발달적 측면에서 문화다양성 교육과 문화예술교육의 필요성을 논의하였다. 또한 선행 연구와 만 5세 누리과정을 관통하는 차이, 수용, 대화, 협동의 4가지 핵심 가치를 도출하였다. 이를 중심으로 누리과정에서 생활주제로 제시된 ‘유치원과 친구’, ‘우리 동네’의 2개 주제를 중심으로 유아들이 주변환경 속에서 친구들과 직접적으로 상호작용하면서 차이에 대한 감수성을 키우고, 대화와 협동을 통하여 다름을 존중할 수 있는 태도를 형성할 수 있는 교육의 내용과 방법을 다양한 예술적 표현이 가능한 문화예술교육 프로그램의 형태로 개발하여 제안하였다.Considering the rapid shift toward multicultural society, this study startedwith the critical awareness that there should be cultural diversity education forearly childhood. In search for the pragmatic approach to this problem, this studypinpointed the fact that early childhood education would have influence on achild’s development throughout lifetime and that diversity would the essentialelement of social development. Thus, it focused on investigating the educationalcontents in which young children naturally could learn and practice culturaldiversity. Given that multicultural education should be annexed on the life-cycleperspective, this study purported to develop the program in which the integratedculture and arts activities could lead young children to explore and embody theknowledge, attitude, and value of cultural diversity. In doing so, the concepts ofcultural diversity was discussed as well as the importance of cultural diversityeducation and Cultural and Arts Education in association with early childhooddevelopment. Then, 4 key values of ‘difference’, ‘acknowledgement’, ‘dialogue’,and ‘collaboration’ was drawn by analyzing the Nuri Curriculum based on theliterature review. The programs were developed in accordance with 2 life themesof Nuri Curriculum, which are ‘kindergarten and friends’ and ‘my town’. Theprogram would provide a chance for young children to develop the sensitivity todiversity and to respect differences while actually interacting, communicating andcollaborating with friends through artistic expression and activities.
