건설프로젝트에서 리스크 요인이 프로젝트의 성과에 미치는 영향

Abstract

[연구목적]본 연구는 건설프로젝트의 수행 과정에서 직면 가능한 위험요인들을 분류하여 각 요인에 대한 관리 수준이 프로젝트 성과에 미치는 영향을 확인하고, 이를 통하여 각 요인들의 영향력에 대해 상대적 차이가 존재하는지를 파악하는 것을 목적으로 하였다. 또한 리스크 요인의 관리와 프로젝트성과 사이의 관계에서 프로젝트 관리능력이 조절변수로서 영향을 미치는지를 파악하고자 하였다.[연구방법]건설프로젝트의 수행과정에 있어 발생 가능한 각종 리스크 요인들은 그 특성에 따라 건설, 정치․사회, 재무․경제, 운영 리스크의 네 가지요인으로 구분하였다. 각 요인의 관리 수준이 프로젝트 성과에 미치는 영향을 알아보고, 이를 통해 네 요인의 상대적인 영향력 순위를 파악하고자 하였다.[연구결과]프로젝트 성과에 영향을 미치는 중요도의 크기는 재무․경제, 운영, 건설 리스크 요인의 순서로 이루어짐을 확인할 수 있었으며, 정치․사회 요인은 프로젝트의 수행 전 과정에서 기본적으로 영향을 미치는 리스크 요인으로, 프로젝트의 진행 과정 전반에 걸쳐 관리해야 하는 대상임을 확인하였다.[연구의 시사점]건설 프로젝트는 통상적으로 다른 산업에 비해 대규모, 장기간에 걸쳐 진행되는 경우가 많아 이에 대한 관리활동의 중요성이 매우 높다고 할 수 있다. 그 중에서도 리스크에 관한 관리는 프로젝트의 성패에 직접적인 영향을 미치므로 프로젝트의 성공을 위해서는 구체적이고 실질적인 리스크 관리 전략이 필요하다는 이론적, 실무적 시사점을 제공하였다.[Purpose]This study set out to find the influence of risk factors in a construction project via connections between the degree of risk management factors and project performance. Ongoing project implementation accounts for a majority of corporate activities in construction companies, which means that successful project implementation is directly connected to corporate profits and serves as an important element to ensure company’s sustainability. The background suggests that attention must be paid to risk management in projects as a critical element of company survival.[Methodology]In the present study, the potential risks in the construction project implementation process were categorized into four groups of construction risks, financial and economic risks, political and social risks, and operational risks. The study examined that the management degree of each factor on project performance and ranked the four factors according to relative influence.[Findings]The analysis results show that financial and economic risks had the greatest significant influences on project performance, being followed by operational and construction risks in the order.[Implications]Construction companies can attain greater project performance than now through risk management considering the differences in a construction project.
