dc.description.abstractThe present study has numerically investigated the devolatilization and autoignition process for a pulverized coal particle in the laminar entrained—flow reactor. In order to realistically represent pulverized coal combustion with detailed chemical kinetics and coal devolatilization process, the model constants for devolatilization model in terms of pre-exponential factor and the activation energy based CPD model are optimized. Based on numerical results, the discussions are made for physical processes involved in the autoignition process of a coal particle.en_US
