Abstract
Nanocomposites consisting of hydroxyapatite, reduced graphene oxide, and platinum were fabricated on pure zirconium substrates. To investigate the influence of annealing temperature on the morphology, structure, and properties of the coatings, the coated samples were annealed at different temperatures of 200, 300, 400, and 600 °C in the presence of Ar gas. Results of the measurements of corrosion characteristics show that the integration of graphene into HA/Pt composites significantly improves their morphology and corrosion resistance. Furthermore, the wear resistances of the uncoated and coated samples before and after annealing were evaluated. The results show that the coated samples annealed at 600 °C exhibit better wear resistance compared to the uncoated and coated samples annealed at other temperatures.
