Abstract
Impulse Radar-Ultrawideband antenna for home security service application is proposed. The antenna consists of a half elliptical monopole and an L-shaped reflector. The L-shaped reflector is used for shaping the radiation pattern suitable for radar application and to be installed to upper corners of a room. The measured H-plane beamwidth is wider than 120° over the 10dB return loss bandwidth of the antenna (6.7 GHz to 10.33 GHz). The peak gain is higher than 4 dBi in the frequency band of interest.
