Abstract
The color pixels and edges are very important information in computer vision. Meanwhile, unlike in day scenes, light source becomes a crucial factor in night scenes; high- brightness object can potentially affect its peripheral lines or colors when portrayed through camera. Thus, glare detection and compensation for affected regions by the light source is essential in computer vision. In this paper, we propose an automatic method of glare region detection. The proposed method is based on making a layered region around a light source by exploiting the distance transform. Experimental results demonstrate the effectiveness of the method.
