In this study, the suitable cross section of spudcan capability of bearing jack-up barge system was chosen by The Society of Naval Architects and Marine Engineers Technical and Research Program(SNAME) throughout several checks for West-South sea in Korea. Through the soil profiles at 6m depths of West-South sea, the bearing capacity was calculated. Following SNAME, preload and sliding checks were performed. Based on UWA spudcan, it is found that minimum 8m of spudcan’s maximum diameter is available for West-South sea in Korea.en_US
