- Abstract
- Surface ElectroMyoGraphy (sEMG) is widely used to decode human motion intentions as well as to diagnose neuro-muscular disease. According to type of desired decoding parts, proportional myoelectric control which directly uses amplitude level of sEMG signals like a torque control and pattern recognition method which is more useful to decode complex parts such as hand are commoly used. In this study, amplitude changing of upper arm myoelectric signals according to orientation of upper arm and stand/lie state is represented. Finally, the arm control using 4 sEMG electrodes mount on the upper arm is discussed.
