Abstract
In recent years, electrical energy consumption is rapidly increased for cooling in apartments, because ventilation standard of Building code. Natural ventilation has advantages of energy saving compared with mechanical ventilation. However the ventilation rate is dramatically changed because wind velocity and direction which are the driving force of natural ventilation are very unsteady. Therefore, purpose of this study is to analyze characteristics of air flow rates in the naturally ventilated apartment, and than compare the cooling loads of the apartment with it of a mechanically ventilated apartment using TRNSYS software.
