dc.description.abstractThis study is to evaluate the width-thickness ratio of the high strength steel flexural member satisfying the rotation demand (R) required for compact section. Thus the three properties - high yield ratio, low strain-hardening modulus and small strain capacity are identified after the coupon tests of high strength steel were conducted. According to previous ductility experiment results, the rotation capacity (R>3) of high strength steel flexural members does not satisfy the limiting value specified in current code. So the high strength steel flexural members are requred to modify the current design standards. The rotation capacity of the high strength steel flexural members is evaluated using finite element analysis(FEA).en_US
