목표추구 지향성, 자기조절동기, 자기구실 만들기의 구조적 관계 분석: 자기조절동기의 매개효과를 중심으로

Abstract

본 연구는 대학생의 목표추구 지향성, 자기조절동기, 자기구실 만들기의 구조적인 관계를 이해하는 데 목적을 두었다. 본 연구에는 대학생 185명이 참여하였으며, 구조방정식 모형을 통해 연구모형의 적합도 와 매개효과를 검증하였다. 연구결과, 첫째, 목표추구 지향성의 하위구인인 성장추구 지향성은 내재적 조절동기 및 동일시 조절동기를 정적으로 예측하였고, 목표추구 지향성의 또 다른 하위구인인 확인추구 지향성은 내사 조절동기를 정적으로 예측하였다. 둘째, 목표추구 지향성과 자기구실 만들기의 관계에서 성장추구 지향성은 자기구실 만들기를 부적으로 예측하였고, 확인추구 지향성은 자기구실 만들기를 정 적으로 예측하였다. 셋째, 자기 조절동기와 자기구실 만들기의 관계에서 내사 조절동기는 자기구실 만들 기를 정적으로 동일시 조절동기는 자기구실 만들기를 부적으로 예측하였으나, 내재적 조절동기는 자기 구실 만들기를 통계적으로 유의미하게 예측하지는 않았다. 매개효과를 분석한 결과 성장추구 지향성은 동일시 조절동기를 매개로 하여 자기구실 만들기에 부적인 영향을 주었으며, 확인추구 지향성은 내사 조절동기를 매개로 하여 자기구실 만들기에 정적인 영향을 주었다. 본 연구는 학습자의 목표추구 지향 성과 부적응적인 인지적 대처 전략인 자기구실 만들기의 관계를 파악할 때 자기조절동기의 질적 수준과 같은 심리적 변인이 함께 고려되어야 할 필요가 있음을 시사한다.The purpose of this study was to examine the structural relations among goal-seeking orientation, self-regulated motivation and self-handicapping. One-hundred and eighty five college students completed instruments assessing goal-seeking orientation(growth-seeking, validation-seeking), self-regulated motivation(intrinsic, identified regulation, and introjected regulation) and self-handicapping. Structural analyses showed that growth-seeing contributed positively to intrinsic and identified regulation while validation-seeking contributed positively introjected regulation; intrinsic and identified regulation in turn contributed negatively while introjected regulation contributed positively to self-handicapping. Mediation analyses showed that intrinsic and identified regulation explained the direct effect growth-seeking had on self-handicapping while introjected regulation explained the direct effect validation-seeking had on self-handicapping.
