dc.description.abstract | In early 1920s there was a great change in the productions, distributions, and showings of film. The productions of film were inspired by the propaganda on a motion picture. And the productions of film began with the Japanese Government General of Korea as the center. Japanese movie companies opened a branch in Keiyo(Seoul). A movie theater opened as a corporation. As the Japanese film distribution extended, a independent film distribution disappeared in Joseon. Joseon film industry was developed under the influence of Japan film industry. The films were produced by The Japanese colonial rule organization such as the Japanese Government General of Korea, organs of propaganda such as Keiyonippo, and Japanese in Joseon. In that film Joseon peoples were portrayed as primitive, dirty, nervous persons. And Japanese were portrayed as a helper and a reminder. This is a kind of a discrimination under the name of assimilation. | en_US |
