Abstract

The purpose of this study was modelling window opening behaviour of residential building occupants. A field measurement was carried out for 11 months. Outdoor and indoor environmental conditions and window state were continuously monitored during the measured period. Based on measurement, window opening behaviour model of residential building occupants is proposed using piecewise linear regression. The model would be implemented into building simulation program to help increasing the validity of the simulation result.
