As a seismic force resisting system, steel ordinary moment frame (OMF) has been widely in regions of low and moderate seismicity. In this study, the seismic performance of the steel OMFs designed according to current seismic code was evaluated. For this purpose, 3, 6, 9, 12, 15, 18-story buildings in seismic design category (SDC) C are designed according to seismic design specifications (ASCE 7-10 and AISC 341-10). The probability of collapse of steel OMFs with Welded Unreinforced Flange-Bolted Web (WUF-B) connection was estimated according to FEMA P695. The collapse probability of the 18-story OMF in SDC C is larger than the limiting collapse probability specified in FEMA P695.
