The application of electrics and electronics in automobiles is continuously increasing, taking on even safety-critical functions such as braking or steering. Due to this fact, car makers allover the world are becoming concerned about the functional safety of electric parts. For the electric parts, it is essential to evaluate the software, which is the control algorithm, fault-detection algorithm, and fail management. This paper introduces a method of evaluating the fail-management algorithm of an electric system using SiLS. The system to be analyzed is the AHB, a brake system designed for hybrid and electric vehicles. In the paper, we made an emulation of each electrical component of the AHB, connected to an s-function of the control algorithm and finally analyzed the results from the simulation.en_US
