Abstract
A thymidine derivative was functionalized to mesoporous silica nanoparticles in order to serve as a pH sensitive gate upon capping with polyadenine. Controlled zero release of rhodamine B mock cargo from the system at neutral pH reveals its potential as a delivery system.
