Abstract

Under the trend of globalization, Korea and China are actively exchanging in various aspects such as politics, economy, and culture. What attracts the most attention of Chinese people is the cultural export such as Korean dramas, movies and entertainment programs. Because it is the fastest and directest to contact and understand the culture of a country through video media. Therefore, if you want to introduce the intent of expressing visual media to the audience of other countries and the specific culture of the country in which they are embedded, subtitle translation as intermediate medium plays a very important role. This paper has studied the script of Korean movie <Architecture 101>. There are four main divisions. Firstly, the introduction describes the main purpose of the Korean - Chinese translation of Korean and Korean films and the current status of Korean - Chinese translation. Secondly, I translated the Korean script of <Architecture 101> to the Chinese. Thirdly, I studied how to solve the linguistic issues that occurred during the Korean-Chinese translation process. I made the selecting Chinese words process into three parts. First case is one to one when one korean word has one corresponding chinese word. And second case is one to many when one korean word has morn than one corresponding chinese word. Third case is paraphrase when one korean word has no corresponding chinese word. Lastly, the conclusions are summarized and the limitations are presented.
