The Korean government has put a lot of effort to make buildings more energy efficient since energy consumptions in buildings account for about 25% of total energy in Korea. However, most of the efforts focused on newly constructed buildings, not for existing buildings. Therefore, in this study, a methodology for diagnosing energy performance of multi-family residential buildings was studied using three years of utility bills in multi-family residential buildings. In order to do this, first, a number of papers from domestic and international publications related to building deterioration were investigated, and a possibility of diagnosing energy performance of multi-family residential buildings was tested in this study.en_US
