dc.description.abstract | Series hybrid vehicle system is a hybrid vehicle system which is driven by only electric motor. Electric motors of the series hybrid vehicle gains electric energy from battery and generator linked with internal combustion engine. The performance of the hybrid vehicle system varies depending on the specification of battery and generator although each system applies same electric motor and vehicle body, especially series hybrid system. Thus, to design series hybrid system that satisfies the demanded performance, the process that determines the specification of a vehicle components is needed. Equations can be obtained considering resistance forces and acceleration ability and the optimized capacity of each component can be determined. In this paper, we will discuss the process of determining optimized capacity of battery and generator considering mass, size, and dynamic characteristic of the vehicle. | en_US |
