Abstract
This study had been attempting to find out the effects of the yoga training period and frequency on middle-aged women’s depression and self-esteem, and how the self-esteem of middle-aged women who have done yoga training affects depression. The experts had a survey of middle-aged women who participated in yoga training in Seoul and Gyeonggi in December 2021. The data collected in this study were analyzed by frequency analysis, reliability and validity test, descriptive statistical analysis, one-way ANOVA, and multiple regression analysis using the SPSS ver. 27.0 program. The results of the study as shown following: First, there are significant differences in depression between groups according to the degree of participation in yoga training. Second, depending on how participated in yoga training, self-esteem has shown significant differences between groups. Third, self-esteem and depression have negative correlations. Therefore, the result of this study is that yoga training for middle-aged women has an impact on to decrease of depression and increase of self-esteem. Yoga training has a high expectation to be used as a program to manage the mental health of middle-aged women.
