Asenvironmentalconsiderationsincrease,manycountriesutilizehydrogenenergyasameansofenergyconversiontomovetowardadecarbonizedsociety.Amongthetransportationofhydrogenenergy,LOHCissafeandcanuseexistingtransportation,sodevelopmentforcommercializationisessential.WereportedahighlyactivecatalystbysynthesizingAl2O3coatedwithalkyl-containingsilicaandcarrying3wt%nickelbywetimpregnation.Toevaluatetheactivityofthecatalyst,monobenzyltoluenewashydrogenatedusingabatchreactor.SilicacoatedAl2O3(SCA)wassynthesizedaccordingtothelengthofthealkylgroupofthesilylationagent,theamountofthealkylgroup,andthepresenceorabsenceofthealkylgroup,andthemostsuitablecatalystforthehydrogenationreactionwasproposed.ThecharacterizationresultsdemonstratedthatSiO2inhibitedthestronginteractionbetweenAl2O3andNiOanddecreasedtheformationofNiAl2O4spinel,leadingtotheformationofNiO.Inaddition,itwasprovedthatthehydrophobicsurfaceduetothealkylgroupformedNinanoparticlesandincreasedthedispersion.Accordingly,characterizationswereconductedtoinvestigatetherelationshipbetweenthesupportpropertiesandthemetalactivesite.-
