Abstract
In this study, we examined the impact of elite golf player’s psychological factors on color golf balls. ThirteenKorea (Ladies) Professional Golf Association (K (L) PGA) membesr were selected who did not experiencedcolor golf balls before. Participants selected the preferred color of the ball, and performed ten golf swing seach with 1-wood(driver) and 7-iron. After this procedure, an in-depth interview with semi-structured questionnairewas conducted, and to draw a conclusion inductive classification was done . First, trial on color golf balls had open a positive possibility to the participants who mostly had negative preconceptionstoward color golf balls which was the main reason they did not used it. Second, several benefits were pulled out of the trial through the visual impression of the bold color golf ballswhich was mood improvement effects, stimulation of arousal level, improvement of concentration and improvementof visibility. Third, in contrast to the regular white golf balls which had added negative memories of performance ove rthe time that can initiate anxiety and nervousness, participants showed psychological sense of security resultedin lack of negative experiences with color golf balls and minimum negative episodic memories.
