Abstract
The purpose of this study was to provide the basic data about the correlational muscle action between agonistic muscle and antagonistic muscle through the isometric training of musculus quadriceps femoris and biceps femoris. The experiment was performed to compare and analyze the effect of agonistic muscle training on the correlational muscle action when isometric training was performed for agonistic muscle(musculus quadriceps femoris) and antagonistic muscle(biceps femoris) at the angle of 90°. With CyBex 770, at 60°/sec, maximum muscular strength was measured over 3 times and the peak torques of extensor muscle and flexor muscle were measured. 1RM measurement was performed for training strength of each group. 80% strength of leg extension and leg curl was used over 3 times and 5 times per week respectively for 4 weeks. The measured peak torque values were compared and analyzed. The study result revealed that when the values of antagonistic muscle(biceps femoris) before and after training were compared in agonistic muscle(musculus quadriceps femoris) training result of 90° isometric training, the value after training(289.00±42.083) was higher than that before training(253.00±54.892). However, it was found that the difference was not statistically significant. In addition, when the values of a ntagonistic muscle(musculus quadriceps femoris) before and after training were compared in the training of agonistic muscle(biceps femoris), the value after training(190.00±30.361) was higher than that before training(168.63±40.817). However, it was found that the difference was not statistically significant.
