지하철 이동 중 무선 인터넷 및 스마트폰 콘텐츠 서비스 이용에 관한 탐색적 연구

Abstract

본 연구는 지하철 이동 중 이루어지는 무선 인터넷 및 콘텐츠 서비스 이용에 영향을 미치는 변인들을 살펴보았다. 특히 미디어 의존을 포함해 기존 인터넷 이용 정도, 타인 인식 변인이 지하철 이동 중 무선 인터넷 서비스 이용에 어떠한 영향을 미치는지 확인하였다. 구조 방정식 분석 결과, 미디어 의존은 지하철 이동 중 무선 인터넷 이용에 정적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 아울러 지하철 이동 중 무선 인터넷 이용은 지하철 내 콘텐츠 이용 규모에 정적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 반면, 기존 인터넷 이용 정도와 지하철 공간 내 타인 인식은 지하철 이동 중 무선 인터넷 이용에 영향을 미치지 않는 것으로 나타났다. 한편, 미디어 의존과 지하철 공간 내 타인 인식은 정적인 영향 관계를 보이는 것으로 나타났다.

이상의 연구결과는, 지하철 이동 중 무선 인터넷 서비스 이용은 기존 인터넷 이용 방식이나 공적 공간으로서의 지하철 공간에서 유발되는 심리적 차원의 변인 보다 미디어 의존의 영향을 많이 받는다는 것을 증명하고 있다. 한편, 지하철 이동 중 무선 인터넷 서비스를 이용하면 할수록 보다 많은 콘텐츠 서비스들을 많이 이용하는 것으로 나타났다. 본 연구는 이상의 발견을 바탕으로 새로운 미디어 이용의 장으로서 지하철 내 무선 인터넷 이용의 작동 동학을 이해해 내고자 하였다.;This study tries to find determinants of uses of wireless Internet services on the subway system. More specifically, this research explains how subway users exploit the wireless Internet services in terms of media dependency, the level of Internet use and perception of others. The major results are follows: firstly, media dependency was correlated to uses of wireless Internet services on the subway. However, both the level of Internet use and perception of others did not explain the uses of wireless Internet services. Secondly, media dependency and perception of others were significantly correlated. Thirdly, the uses of wireless Internet services were important factor for explaining diversity of uses of wireless Internet services.
