내러티브 메시지의 설득 효과 및 그 처리과정에 관한 연구-장기기증 메시지에 대한 수용자 반응을 중심으로

Abstract

내러티브는 스토리를 이용하는 설득 기법이다. 수사학에 기초한 기존의 관습적인 설득 방법과는 달리 내러티브는 감성에 소구하는 설득 기법으로 알려져 있다.

그러나 내러티브 설득 방법과 수사학적 설득 방법의 설득 효과 및 설득 과정을 비교하는 국내 연구가 전무한 상황에서 본 연구는 내러티브 설득 효과 및 설득 과정을 파악하기 위한 목적으로 진행되었다. 실용적인 차원에서 장기 기증에 대한 주제가 채택되었으며 실험 설계를 통해 내러티브 설득과 통계적 설득의 효과를 가설검증을 통해 분석하였다.

연구 결과, 내러티브 설득 방법은 통계적 설득 방법에 비해 월등히 높은 수준의 감성적 반응을 도출하였으며, 장기 기증에 대한 보다 긍정적인 태도를 도출하였다.

그러나, 장기 기증에 대한 행동의도에는 두 방법 사이에 유의미한 차이가 발견되지 않았다.

계속하여, 내러티브 설득 과정에 대한 탐색적 분석을 위해 구조방정식 분석이 실시되었다. 이성 반응 우선 모형과 감성 반응 우선 모형을 비교한 결과 감성 반응 우선 모형이 더 적합한 모형으로 판단되었다. 연구 결과가 시사하는 점은 이론적인 차원과 실용적인 차원에서 구체적으로 논의되었다.;This study attempts to explore the persuasive effect of narrative in the context of organ donation. The significance of the present study lies on the paucity of relevant research in Korea regarding this subject, Specifically, this study hypothesized the superiority of narrative messages in comparison to typical rhetorical messages in delineating favorable attitude and behavioral intention towards the subject of organ donation. Overall, the data reported in this study seemed to support the hypotheses to be true.In addition, this study also compares two competing process models of narrative. The data clearly show that, in comparision to rational response, emotional response is more important in the process of narrative persuasion. Implications of the findings and suggestions for the future research is also mentioned.
