Bilibili 일상 브이로그 채널에서 나타나는 준사회적 상호작용 연구

Abstract

본 연구는 소셜미디어상의 일상 브이로그 이용자와 일상 브이로거 간의 상호작용에 주목하여 평범한 일상 브이로그의 유행을 만들어내고 지속시키는 기제인 준사회적 상호작용의 구체적인 작동 방식을 분석하고자 하였다. 일상 브이로그는 개인의 일상을 가식적이지 않고 솔직하게 드러내 이용자들의 자연스러운 공유에 의해 활성화된다는 점에서 독특한 위치에 있다. 이는 일상 브이로그 이용자들이 일상 브이로거와 자신을 동일시하여 그곳의 일상에 참여함으로써 일상 브이로그의 유행에 영향을 미친다는 것을 의미한다. 소셜미디어를 통해 상호작용적 커뮤니케이션이 가능해지면서 이용자들은 일상의 매개로 일상 브이로거를 친근한 존재로 인지하거나 함께 있는 듯한 친밀감을 갖게 되는 준사회적 상호작용(Parasocial Interaction)을 느끼게 된다. 준사회적 상호작용은 미디어 콘텐츠와 등장인물을 현실 속 사건이나 존재로 인식하는 듯한 친밀감의 환상을 일으키는데 그 과정에서 이용자와 미디어 콘텐츠, 미디어 등장인물이 특정한 관계를 갖게 하며, 이를 통해 미디어 콘텐츠에 대한 현실감을 높이고 미디어 콘텐츠의 영향력을 확대시킨다. 일상 브이로그로 맺어지는 일상 브이로거와 이용자의 구체적인 준사회적 상호작용 양상을 살펴보기 위해 본 연구는 Bilibili 플랫폼을 통해 공유되는 일상 브이로그 채널을 사례분석 대상으로 선정하였다. 현시점에서 Bilibili는 중국 선두의 젊은 문화의 커뮤니티로서 젊은 층에서 이용 충성도가 가장 높고, 일상 브이로그를 비롯한 생활 콘텐츠 또한 가장 빠르게 성장하여 활성화되고 있기 때문이다. Bilibili 일상 브이로그 채널에서의 상호작용성은 콘텐츠 내용 차원과 피드백 채널 차원 2가지로 구분하였다. 이를 매개하여 일상 브이로거와 이용자 간의 경계를 허무는 준사회적 상호작용 양상을 보였다. 일상 브이로그 채널에서의 상호작용성에 따른 차이가 서로 다른 준사회적 상호작용 차원을 갖는다. 그 과정에서 각각의 구성요인을 통해 준사회적 상호작용을 느끼는 양상이 상이하게 나타나는 것을 확인하였고, 이에 따라 이용자의 행동의도에 영향을 미치는 준사회적 상호작용의 실증연구 결과가 다르게 나온다는 점을 알 수 있었다. 구체적으로 첫째, 일상 브이로그 채널에서의 상호작용성과 준사회적 상호작용의 관계에서 콘텐츠 내용 차원에서의 상호작용성은 인지적 준사회적 상호작용, 정서적 준사회적 상호작용, 행동적 준사회적 상호작용에 정적으로 유의미한 영향이 미치고 있으며, 피드백 채널 차원에서의 상호작용성은 인지적 준사회적 상호작용, 정서적 준사회적 상호작용을 정적으로 유의미한 영향을 미치고 있음을 확인할 수 있다. 둘째, 일상 브이로그 채널에서의 준사회적 상호작용과 재이용의도의 관계에서 정서적 준사회적 상호작용, 행동적 준사회적 상호작용은 재이용의도에 정적으로 유의미한 영향을 미치고 있으며, 일상 브이로그 채널에서의 준사회적 상호작용과 구전의도의 관계에서 인지적 준사회적 상호작용, 정서적 준사회적 상호작용은 구전의도를 정적으로 유의미하게 설명하는 것으로 나타났다. 본 연구의 의의는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 소셜미디어상의 관계 맺기 요인이 소셜미디어상의 상호작용성을 매개한 준사회적 상호작용이라는 점을 밝혔다. 둘째, 준사회적 상호작용을 통해 실제 일상을 반영한 일상 브이로그 콘텐츠가 콘텐츠 속의 일상 재현 및 공유에 그치지 않고 이용자들의 현실로 넘어와 이용자들의 행동의도에 영향을 미쳤다. 셋째, 이를 통해 소셜미디어상의 상호작용적 커뮤니케이션 과정에서 형성된 일상 브이로거와 이용자들 간의 친밀감이 일상 브이로그 채널의 활성화 유발, 유지 요소가 되는 것을 규명하였다. | This study attempted to analyze the specific operation method of parasocial interaction, a mechanism that creates and sustains the trend of ordinary daily vlogs, by focusing on the interaction between daily vlog users on social media. Daily vlogs became popular through the natural sharing of users by revealing daily life honestly, not pretentious. It means that users identify themselves with daily vloggers and participate in their daily lives, affecting the trend of daily vlogs. As interactive communication is possible through social media, users perceive daily vloggers as friendly beings or feel a sense of intimacy. Parasocial interaction creates intimacy that seems to recognize media contents and characters as beings in reality. In the process, users, media contents, and media characters have a specific relationship which could increase the sense of reality and expand the influence of media contents. In order to examine the specific quasi-social interaction patterns formed with daily vlogs, this study selected daily vlog channels shared through the Bilibili platform as the subject of case analysis. Bilibili is China's leading young culture community with the highest loyalty to use it among young people, and daily vlogs and other daily contents are growing and being activated the fastest. Interaction in Bilibili's daily Vlog channel was divided into two levels: the contents dimension and the feedback dimension. Through this, it showed a parasocial interaction pattern that broke the boundary between daily vloggers and users. Differences according to interaction in daily vlog channels have different parasocial interaction dimensions. It was confirmed that the pattern of feeling parasocial interaction through each constituent factor appeared differently. Accordingly, the empirical research results of parasocial interaction affecting the user's behavioral intention were different. First, it can be seen that interaction at the contents level has a positive and significant effect on cognitive, emotional, and behavioral parasocial interaction at the feedback channel level. And the feedback channel level has a statically significant effect on cognitive and emotional parasocial interaction. Second, emotional and behavioral parasocial interaction have a positive effect on reuse intention in the daily vlog channel, and cognitive and emotional parasocial interaction are found to explain word of mouth intention statically. The significance of this study is as follows. First, it was revealed that the factor for establishing relationships on social media was parasocial interaction that mediated interaction on social media. Second, through parasocial interaction, daily vlog contents that reflect actual daily life not only reproduced and shared daily life in the content, but also moved to users' reality and influenced users' behavioral intentions. Third, through this, it was found that the intimacy between daily vloggers and users formed in the process of interactive communication on social media becomes a factor in inducing and maintaining the activation of daily vlog channels.
