This study examines consumers' perceived risks of COVID-19 to develop a solid theoretical framework that explains their behavioral intentions relating to COVID-19. It also explores the influence of four sub-factors of perceived risk relating to COVID-19 and the effects of post-traumatic stress disorder and revisit intention. This study finds that the perceived risk from COVID-19 and post-traumatic stress disorder have severely negative impacts on revisit intention for hotels, with emotion regulation ability found to play a moderating role in this process. Because hotels are used by a diverse group of people in terms of race, nationality, age, and culture, they can rapidly transit epidemics such as COVID-19. Therefore, hotel managers must identify the risks of COVID-19 as perceived by hotel guests, potential development of PTSD, and influence of such negative phenomena on guests’ behavioral intentions to formulate a variety of strategies. © 2021 The Authorsen_US
