창업자의 경험 특성이 스타트업의 성과에 미치는 영향에 관한 연구 : ICT 기술창업 스타트업을 중심으로

Abstract

본 연구에서는 창업자의 경험 특성에 따라 스타트업 성과에 어떠한 차이가 있는지 ICT 기술창업 스타트업을 중심으로 실증적으로 분석하였다. 창업자의 경력 특성은 최종학력과 전공분야, 이전 근무경험, 이전 창업경험, 액셀러레이터 보육 프로그램 경험으로 구분하였으며, 스타트업의 성과는 매출액, 1인당 매출액, 투자유치 건수를 사용하였다. 연구결과 창업자의 경험 특성 중 창업자의 이전 근무경험과 액셀러레이터 보육 프로그램 경험 여부에 따라 스타트업의 성과에 유의한 차이가 있는 것을 확인할 수 있었다. 정보가 부족한 ICT 분야 기술창업 스타트업에 초점을 맞춘 의미 있는 연구로 내용과 결과는 향후 ICT 분야 기술창업 관련 정책 수립 시 활용될 수 있을 것이다.

This study investigates the effects of experience characteristics of entrepreneurs on firm performances. We conducted an empirical analysis focusing on technology-based start-ups in ICT. We categorized the experience characteristics of entrepreneurs into final academic background, major, previous work experience, previous entrepreneurship experience, and accelerator program experience. And the firm performances were used by classifying on sales, sales per person, and the number of investment. We found that previous work experience and accelerator program experience affect firm performance. This study can be utilized when policy making and practice about technology-based start-ups in ICT.
